Last year’s cute holders!

Hi Families!  Just a quick update for the upcoming Valentine’s party!  First,  the party is next Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 2:15 – 3:15.  Students are welcome to bring in their valentine holders any time from now until next week.  We are having a contest for the “Most Creative”, “Most Artistic”, and “Most Humorous” Valentine holders.  This is an optional contest.  If your student is not interested in participating, have them see me for a bag to decorate to hold valentines.  Valentines can be brought in any time, however, we won’t pass them out until the day of the party.

Second, our third round of science is wrapping up this week.  Your student will be tested on the sun and moon unit this Thursday (Feb. 9).

Third, tonight and tomorrow night are Jet’s Pizza nights.  If you call and order a pizza and give them our class name, we might possibly win a pizza party!  We sure could use one!

Next Friday, Feb. 13th, is our Valentine’s Party and we are still in need of a few volunteers! If you are interested in coming and helping with our party, please click on the following link!

Our party will be held from 2-3 pm. If your student is participating in our valentine holder contest, their holder should be here by Wednesday, Feb. 11th. All other bags can be here by Thursday, Feb. 12th.

Happy Winter Break Everyone!

Just thinking ahead to our Valentine’s party, I would like to have a little contest for the best “Valentine Holder”! If you go online to Pinterest or just google “valentines”, you can find lots of ideas for cute valentine holders out of cereal, shoe, or Kleenex boxes. Create a cute valentine box, bag, or otherwise to bring to school to store your valentines in as we pass them out. On party day, we’ll have a vote for the best holder and that person will get a prize! (It will be a good one!!)

Now, no worries if you are not a crafty person! If this is not your cup of tea, just decorate a paper bag (lunch size or a little larger) with your name on it to hang off of your desk. (I do have bags here at school if you need one – just let me know.) I want this to be fun! No pressure ok?

Ok, get to work you crafters! When yours is done, feel free to bring it in any time before Feb. 13th!

2 G Summary! 2/4/13

Hi Everyone!  Due to no homework packet this week, I thought I better post a quick update!  Yes, it’s true!  No homework packet in honor of Winter Break this weekend!  I thought everyone would love the reprieve!  🙂  We are, however, having spelling words.  The test will be on Thursday instead of Friday this week.  No spelling next week though (the week of the 11th).

Tomorrow, Feb. 5th, we are having stuffed animal day.  🙂

Market Day is this Thursday at 9:45 or so.  It will be a lot of fun!  I will try to get pictures on the blog so you can see all of the students’ hard work!!

Valentines Party is on Feb. 14th from 12:40 – 1:45!  You can send in valentines any time this week or next!
