Toys For Tots
One of our Georgetown students is collecting toys for Toys For Tots. Ainslee Tomaszewski has a goal of collecting 155 toys and we have received 62 as of Monday. These toys will go to families who are having difficulty affording gifts this year.
Please bring your unwrapped gift to school by Thursday, December 8!
Holiday Fun
Hi Everyone!
Hope you enjoyed the Holiday Program last Tuesday night! There is nothing like children’s voices singing Christmas songs to put us in the holiday mood! It’s one of my favorite nights of the year because I get to see all of my beautiful students dressed up in their holiday best!
Just a couple of classroom notes! Our class Christmas party will be on Dec. 18th (Thursday) of next week from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Fourth graders are doing their party a day early to help alleviate the parking madness that takes place on Georgetown party days! Friday, Dec. 19th, will still be a great day for us as we will be celebrating with our little bus buddies in the morning and then with the whole fourth grade that afternoon.
Students will not be exchanging gifts with each other in fourth grade. Instead, we will be giving each other the gifts of kindness, acceptance, and gratitude that we are having such a great year!
We will have our Unit 3 division math test this week, so keep an eye out for math grades coming home early next week. Just a reminder also, to keep reading! With school being so busy right now, it is imperative that we are practicing at home and working towards those 90 minutes a day that experts say students need for reading practice. It’s also important to get ourselves in bed on time and drink plenty of water!
Have a great week and I hope everyone has the happiest of holidays!!!
Christmas is Around the Corner!
I haven’t even said “Happy Thanksgiving” yet, and we are already planning Christmas activities! Turkey, snow, and holidays are already upon us! If you like to plan ahead, I wanted to let all moms and dads know that our Christmas party will be Thursday, Dec. 18th from 2:00 to 3:00. We are holding it a day earlier than our last day to alleviate all of the parking congestion caused when our whole building has their parties on the same day! Our last day, the 19th, we are planning some fun activities together as a whole 4th grade!
Another reminder for your calendar is that our Holiday Program is Tuesday, Dec. 2nd from 7:45 to 8:15. More information will be forthcoming!
Your students are doing a great job! Thanks for sending me such great kids!
