Last Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 was another great day for the Georgetown Elementary School Walkathon! Our class walked a minimum of 4 laps per student and with 23 students, we walked more than a total of 92 laps!! And that’s just a minimum! Some kids did more than 4!
Thank you to all of our families who donated to our only fundraiser of the year. Money is still being counted and soon all prizes will be announced! We appreciate all of the extras that the PTC of Georgetown provides for us.

Only 2 more days until our walkathon!! Fourth graders will be out there walking/running at 10:30 am on this Thursday, Sept. 25! Come on up to school and check us out! Our goal is to raise $15,000.00 schoolwide! So help us support Georgetown! Parents can walk too!
September 26th is date for the Walk-a-thon, RAIN or SHINE!! Georgetown Elementary School is trying to raise money for new school technology. We are trying to buy more iPads, and iPods for student use, as well as more books for the library. Our school wide goal is to raise $15,000.

Fun Fest is on Friday – yay!! On Wednesday is the Walkathon! School Store is on Friday! Friday is going to be a fun day! Yay!! Kaitlyn is our Safari Superstar!!

TREK For TECH Walk-A-Thon: September 26. Money Due September 28, 2012.
Throughout this week, you will hear updates on the top earning classes for our TREK for TECH Walk-A-Thon (Wed Sept 26). We will make an announcement at the end of each day sharing the top three classes with the final winning class announced one week from Monday.
SECOND GRADE WILL BE WALKING AT 10:20 A.M. ON WEDNESDAY MORNING! FEEL FREE TO JOIN US!!
The winning class (most money raised for our 2012 Trek for Tech Walk-A-Thon) will take a limo ride to a local pizza restaurant for lunch.
To help track the totals, we are encouraging students to enter their daily total in this walk-a-thon survey. Enter once per day—and we will use this to estimate lead classes. Thank you for your donations for our only MAJOR PTC fundraiser for the 2012-13 school year.
We will have two blue/gold days this week…one on Wednesday for our Walk-A-Thon and one on Friday, Homecoming Day. This is also the day that you can come to the FUN FEST at Eagle’s Stadium to Dunk Mr. Kooiker and Mr. Jurewicz! Be there at 4:30 pm and help raise money for the Hudsonville Education Foundation.
