A New Way to Study Vocabulary

We have been learning tons of new vocabulary in our economics unit in social studies.  Words like “profit”, “scarcity”, “supply”, “demand”, “consumer”, “producer” and more can be hard to remember. Today we invited Mrs. Huizenga’s class to come and play Quizlet with us, a cool computer game we play in teams to learn the vocab.  Here’s a snippet of what it’s like to play! We have a blast!

VOCAB on the Move!!

Last week we played a fun game of “VOCAB on the Move”!  Each student wore a headband with a vocabulary word on it.  They also had a sheet on a clipboard that asked specific questions about what their word was, such as “What would be a synonym for this word?”  After asking each other for clues about their word to fill in their paper, finally, students could guess what their word was!  It was a lot of fun and we had fun wearing the headbands!  Here are a few pictures!
