Happy March 1st!

march lepHappy March 1st everyone!  The good news to this snow day is the old proverb says that if “March comes in like a lion, it goes out like a lamb”!  Hopefully, we will have a little bit warmer and wonderful weather come the end of March!

That being said, I would like to encourage all of my 4th grade friends to get online to work today!  If lion:lambyou’ve been to our school blog, you will see that Mrs. Reagan is offering another “Snow Day Incentive” for today!  You have a chance to win a $10 Barnes and Nobles gift card just by working online today for 30 minutes! But you only have until 6 p.m. tonight to qualify for the drawing!

If you get on to Study Island to work today, some of you may find that you have difficulties logging on.  If that is the case, do not worry about Study Island today.  Mrs. Reagan is fixing some of the difficulties we’ve been having and she will let us know when it is back up and running!  Definitely practice your math facts on MobyMax and then you can work on either language or science on that site as well.

Don’t forget that you can also work on Google Slides today by going to your school email and clicking on the 9 little squares at the top of your email page.  See if you can find some cool images of your animal!  If you put them on your slides, you will have them at school to work with as well.  Don’t forget to print a few if you are planning to use them in your written report!

Happy Snow Day!

DSC_0013My dog Tucker and I got up this morning and he wanted to go outside.  We first went to the back door of our deck where Tucker usually goes out to do his duty.  But the snow was even with the window to the door!

DSC_0016So then we went to the front door and looked out.  He took one look and turned around, looking at me like “Are you crazy?”  I said, “I know Tucker, let’s go open the garage door and you can go out on the driveway!”

To my surprise, when I opened the garage door, this is what it looked like!

DSC_0011Wow!  I haven’t seen this much snow in a long time!  Tucker finally did get to go out, but not until we cleared a path out of the garage!  We hope that all of Mrs. Q’s students are having a fun day in the snow! DSC_0018 Tucker and I plan to stay here and stay cozy for the rest of today!  Have a great snow day!
