Hi Families,

We have so many wonderful things to look forward to and I can’t wait to meet all of my new second grade friends.   As the back to school ads come out sooner and sooner each year,   our class supply list hopefully will allow you plenty of time to get your child ready for second grade and maybe find a GREAT deal or two( I love a great deal!) :).

Here is the suggested list of materials your child will need for second grade:

*  1″ Binder with pockets in the inside cover.

* Composition Book, wide ruled

* 4 Dry Erase Markers labeled with your child’s name.

* Pencil box

* 2 Glue Sticks

* A pair of blunt child’s scissors labeled with your child’s name

* A clean pair of tennis shoes for gym.

* A pair of earbuds to be used with our classroom ipods.  Keegstra’s Dollar Store, Target, or Meijer would be great locations to find an inexpensive pair.

Here are some other supplies that we use quite a bit within our classroom and would appreciate any donations.  These same items will be posted on our giving tree as we get closer to the fall as well.

* Antibacterial Wipes

* Kleenex

* Dry Erase Markers ( We use these EVERYDAY :))

* Red ink pens

* Gallon Size Ziplocs

* Sandwich size Ziplocs

* Chalk

*  Band Aids

* Lunch Size Paper bags

Can’t wait to meet you all!  If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at lquigley@hpseagles.net.

Love,    Mrs. Quigley  🙂

School Supplies for 2010-11

TN_17-12-08_11MAHi Parents,

Many school supplies go on sale through the month of July, so I thought I would post this early so you can get a jump on the sales!  This year I am trying a new approach to supplies for our classroom. I have bought some individual book bags for students to keep their daily reading books in, and this is where they will keep their special supplies (anything that they do not want to share).  There will not be much room in this bag, so rather than have a pencil box, I think a pencil zipper bag would work better.  The rest of our supplies, I would like to use collectively in big tubs per each table or work area in our classroom.  Some of the supplies that will be necessary for our students to have are as follows:

2 glue sticks

markers and/or colored pencils

dry – erase markers (4 pack)

Kleenex

1 pkg. 2×2 post-its

pencil bag

gym shoes to keep in locker (can be old shoes- just clean)

Thank you in advance for purchasing these things for your second grader!  We will keep certain items in their book bags.  I am so looking forward to our next year and to getting to know your child!  Have a wonderful rest of the summer!!
