Mrs. Quigley’s Hobby

IMG_0963Hi everyone!  This is Mrs. Q and for our next Scavenger Hunt, I am supposed to tell you about one of my hobbies!  I LOVE to quilt!  I love all kinds of quilts and I am a collector of quilts!  When I was a little girl, my grandmother made many quilts for my bed.  Her quilts always felt softer than all of the other blankets on my bed!  I knew they were made with love.  I still have those worn and well-loved quilts today even though my grandmother passed away many years ago.  When I started having my own children, I wanted them to have blankets that would be special to them.  I made each one of my children their own quilt.  I have made 8 full size quilts and many, many other types of quilt projects like baby blankets, table runners, placemats and much more!  I look forward to the day when I have more time in my day to quilt!  I hope that my quilts will be around long after I am gone, just like my grandmother’s.  What kind of hobby do you like to do?IMG_0961

Mrs. Quigley’s Summer Vacation!

Welcome back to Georgetown everyone!  This is Mrs. Quigley and I hope you had a great summer vacation!  I sure did!  The whole Quigley family traveled to California this summer!  With a daughter recently graduated from high school (Emily) and a son who obtained a summer job at Stanford University (Keegan), we decided to celebrate by traveling the Pacific coast of California.   We landed in Los Angeles and traveled up the coast to San Francisco.  We walked the movie star Walk of Fame.   We visited Los Angeles where they make many tv shows and movies. Then we traveled up the coast and saw surfers on BIG waves and real live seals!  We ended up in San Francisco where there are huge hills and trolley cars!  We had a great time!  Here are a few pictures!
